It is painful

Posted by oddlyoptimistic under: Uncategorized.

Seriously running is painful.
Somehow I want to think that after awhile running gets less painful but it really doesn’t.
I guess I have to just keep running even though you feel the pain.
Eventually maybe after running 10 miles 2 miles will be like a piece of cake or something.
I don’t know.

great, so now my total distance is 14 miles and total time is 3 hours. so basically, double both of those FOR THE ENTIRE MARATHON and we are looking at SIX hours. i didn’t even realize i was running at such a slow pace. let’s see, if we do 10min/mile for the real thing, it should take a little over four hours.

Don’t worry about time… it’s all about finishing!

First of all, you’re going to improve your speed as you train and get closer to your race. And second of all… it really doesn’t matter how long it takes you to finish, you’re going to be proud of the accomplishment (and likely want to do it again and again and again!)

So don’t worry about your speed!

Just have fun!
